Doe Deere and Her Creativity To Inspire

In 2008, Doe Deere became one of the first makeup company owners to launch an online makeup business. Deere is founder and CEO of Lime Crime Cosmetics. Lime Crime Cosmetics offers rainbow colored liquid liners, glitter lip gloss, nail polish, eye shadow palettes, loose pigments and lipsticks. Doe Deere was born in Russia but grew up in New York City. She also graduated in New York after studying fashion design. Now, you can catch Doe Deere setting trends in Los Angeles, California.

Lime Crime was inspired by a clothing line that Doe had previously began running online. She made and designed her own clothing that she would then model with matching makeup. The fact that she could not find makeup in colors that were bright enough to martch ger designs, she figured why not make her own.

Doe Deere combined her two loves of makeup and fairy tales in one, in Lime Crime. Lime Crime is vegan and cruelty-free makeup line. No animal products are used to create the makeup nor is the makeup tested on animals. In order to promote rare beauty, individuality, kindness to all animal, and rare beauty, the mascot for Lime Crime was chosen to be the Unicorn. To show the Creativity aspect of Lime Crime, the color purple is used in order to represent the brand.

In 2004, Doe Deere began selling her Lime Crime clothing designs on Ebay. Sales became steady in less than just a short year. The Lime Crime makeup line was launched on to the digital store in 2008. The fame for the company began from online makeup tutorial videos Deere would post, showcasing the fine brushes, blush, glitter and primers that she sold online for prices starting at $12. 2009 is when Lime Crime really began to get popular.

Lime Crime has 3 million Instagram followers. It all began with Doe Deere’s blog that focused on fun and instructive makeup tutorials. She held contest and giveaways to her audience. These contest and giveaways would bring more fans to her blog and therefor to the Lime Crime brand.

If you don’t feel transformed and inspired by your makeup, then why put it on? That is a question Doe Deere would ask, as her business Lime Crime Focuses on Beauty making people feel happy and on that one focus only. She wants the colors that Lime Crime provides, to unleash the best version of yourself.

Doe is continuously inspired by Subcultures, different fantasies, and mythical creatures in order to create exciting and new colors that are based on her favorite themes. One of her themes. She loves creating for Generation Z, who have grown up online. Generation Z inspired her latest collection called Alchemy. The palette includes vivid purples, coppers, and greens. Alchemy was created with the idea of potions swirling and burping together.
